Comment Problem

Hello ladies!

I received an email/feedback with regards to posting a comment on my blog post. One of my readers actually said that the comment did not appear on my blog when she tried to post a comment. I am really not sure why because this is definitely my first time using blogspot..

I'm kind of a noob to this so I don't think I am able to fix this until perhaps find a solution. Meantime, since this is an issue to those who wants to take part in the giveaway, I am extending it until 24 December 2013 and kindly email me directly at emaah91@gmail.com with the instructions as mentioned on my Sleek review/Haul and Giveaway blog.

Sorry for the inconvenienced caused. I will try and find a solution to this. Thank you for giving me your feedback and if there's any request or any other feedback do not hesitate to e-mail me. Thank you! :)

Sleek Make-up Review/Haul and GIVEAWAY

When I first got to know about Sleek, I immediately wanted to try them because Sleek has always been written about in blogs and talked about on YouTube. That's how I came across this makeup brand. Through watching make-up videos on YouTube.

After getting myself a Sleek Original palette, I couldn't help myself to to a few more Sleek products because they're definitely affordable and I ordered it directly from the website. Good thing is they ship to Singapore so that's a plus point. You don't have to go through a third party and have to pay extra for shipping etc and I've been really impressed with the quality of the make-up. So, let's get started with the products! :)

1. Sleek i-Divine Original Palette (US$9.99)

Sleek has a variety of i-Divine palette range which are amazing. I can go crazy choosing which palette I would like to get for myself. Haha. The Sleek i-Divine Original Palette have twelve shades of super pigmented shadow. This has a range of warm and dark shades and also yet so feminine with the pinks and coppers.

thevanitycouture.blogspot.com

The eye shadows are quite pigmented, creamy and blends well too. It has shimmer in it so it gives a shimmery effect but is wearable. Blend well and it doesn't look too shimmery on your eyes.

2. Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matte V2 Palette (US$9.99)

The next thing I got was this Sleek i-Divine Ultra Matte V2 Palette. Honestly, I am more of a matte person so I fell in love with matte eye shadow easily too. It's difficult to find an all matte eye shadow so that's why I've decided to get myself one. this matte palette has earth colors and also some bold and dark colors good for smokey eyes or just an everyday look using the browns.

Like I said, they are pigmented shadows. The matte is a little bit difficult to work with because it's matte and need more time to blend compared to the shimmery ones. It's powdery too so there may be fall outs of the shadow on your eye.

Other than that, I got myself their lipsticks and blushers. The lipsticks I got are the matte ones and the blushers are definitely my favourite. They're pigmented and can be easily blended as well and if you're creative, you can definitely use the blush as an eye color too. ;)

3. Sleek Blush (US$5.99)

From left: Life's A Peach (my favourite blush)
Bottom: Pomegranate
Right: Rose Gold

4. Sleek True Color Lipstick (US$6.49)

From left to right:
Bare All, Stiletto, Papaya Punch

I am definitely impressed and happy with Sleek products so that is why I decided to do a Sleek giveaway! This is to appreciate all readers out there and also to my subscribers! Yayyy! It's not much but I believe I can get more followers and readers in the future. Hehe.

This is definitely my first giveaway and I am so happy about it because Sleek is one of the recommendable makeup products for makeup lovers out there! :)

I will be giving away Sleek New Skin Revive Foundation Tester Kit. I got myself the tester kit because I want to try out the foundation for myself but decided to just give it away since if just giving the lip gloss will be too simple so I shall throw in the tester kit too. Good Luck!

House Of Lashes Review

House Of Lashes is basically the lashes that most makeup artist were talking about especially those Youtubers and makeup gurus. I got these a few months ago and decided to do a review about it since lashes are one of the most essential thing that draws attention to our eyes.

Au Naturale USD$9.00

The Au Naturale is a demure look that is natural and uber girl-next-door. This is the pair that is perfect for any daytime occasion, whether it’s work, going to lunch with friends or browsing the bookstore for a great read. I like how light the lashes is and it fits well on my eye. It doesn't feel itchy or uncomfortable and you bet, they look natural!

Sweet Romance USD$9.00

Sweet Romance is a great day to night style which can be pumped up with just a few coats of your favorite mascara. This is a good lashes if you want long and curled lashes that at the same time looks sophisticated, classy and natural too. It is hand made from 100% human hair.

Temptress USD$9.00

Temptress redefines the word “wispy” for lashes, by tripling hair volume, and doubling length. You can even add a little mascara when you’re ready to make an even bolder move. Textured to look voluminous throughout. This is best for occasions or if you want your eye to standout this is the best lashes for you.

Now, the question is, is it worth USD$9.00? 100% I say, YES! By just many reviews and compliments people have been giving I personally fell in love with these lashes once I have tried them on. It's not a pair I can find a dupe of anywhere and most importantly. I value quality over quantity. These lashes are reusable depending on how you many times you use it. Just remove the glue gently using makeup remove (liquid) and voila! It can be used again.

Old blog to new blog

Hello ladies!

For my new readers and followers, you can view more of my makeup posts at my old blog which is vanitycouture.onsugar.com. I have been using onsugar for quite some time actually but since it is giving me a lot of problems, I have decided to create a blog using blogspot instead.

I swear this is easier and better compared to onsugar so I am going to permanently stick  to this blog. I will try my best to update on makeup reviews or makeup looks when I am free. Currently busy with exam so I do not have the time to blog. I will also perhaps transfer some of my popular blogs from the previous website to this new website. Mean time, do keep a look and do subscribe via email to receive my latest post.

Thank you for reading!

Simple Make-up for school

Hello! Hello!

Here's a simple make-up look of myself when I am going to school. Sometimes my face is even naked because I do not have the time early in the morning. ZZzzz.. Haha. Ok so details of what is on my face is below. For more pictures of what I do not blog, you can follow me on instagram. Just go to the side bar under "Follow Me". Since I like a clean and polish look and is not concern about long lasting when I'm in school, I like to apply only foundation on my face without any powder or loose powder etc.

MAC RiRi Hearts MAC Powder Blush Duo in Hibiscus Kiss

The bronzer is a matte bronze and I am so totally in love with it!! It has great pigmentation, blends smoothly on the skin and looks natural for a fair skin tone like me. It's buildable as well so you can get soft glow or an intense bronzed look. I am never a fan of bronzer but this is by far one of the best, most natural-looking bronzer I have.

The blush on the other hand is a bright, coral pink with a slight sheen to it. It's a beautiful shade  that looks lovely on the skin but the blush's pigmentation wasn't as good as the bronzer but it's buildable too. I do believe MAC's blushers are always pigmented but this one does not have an amazing pigmentation but it's good for those who want to have that natural blush and glowy look.

I can't remember how much I bought this but it is probably around the $40 range.

Farmasi Color Cosmetics Review

Hello! Hello! Finally I have the time to blog about Farmasi Color Cosmetics. This was supposed to be up on my previous blog which is www.vanitycouture.onsugar.com last week but I have been super busy and onsugar is giving me so many problems, I've decided to switch to using blogspot instead!

This is more to a review blog and also to talk a bit about FCC. For intro, Farmasi originated from Istanbul, Turkey is one of the Halal cosmetics in the market. As far as I know, Farmasi is the only Halal cosmetic that has Halal ingredients in it and also a certificate to prove that all products are Halal.

The person franchising this brand called it FCC Singapore and FCC does not contain any lead and/or pig oil or any other ingredients that contain pig which certain makeup products do. I myself am not sure which makeup brand has such ingredients but perhaps a little research will clear your doubts(s). Now let's get into the review part!

I personally wanted to try the CC Cream hence I got myself the CC Cream, True Color Lipstick N0.3, Advanced Styling Mascara and also the Makeup Remover Wipes.

I got myself the CC Cream and it is by far the popular product that most people will get their hands on including me! I got the medium to dark shade and I find that this is quite light on my skin but somehow it blends well and matches my skin tone after blending the product on my face.

The coverage is sheer to medium. More products applied will give a better coverage but since I do not need that much coverage (for those who knows me will know why), I applied a thin layer of the CC Cream on my face and blend it using my foundation brush.

The CC Cream absorbs well to the skin so it doesn't look cakey on your face. The texture is very light and is very moist so it takes a while for the product to oxidise since it appears quite sheer on your face. For the lasting hours, truthfully, this lasts throughout the whole day for me and I still look good at the end of the day.

I apply ONLY CC Cream onto my face without having to use any powder etc to make it last longer. Well you can do so but for me I do not need to. I like the light coverage as it is as it looks natural like as though you have no makeup on. I will recommend the CC Cream for those who wish to try to apply something light on your face that does not feel cakey and also want a light coverage. It also contains SPF 25 so not only does it gives coverage but protects your skin from the sun.

This is the before and after picture when the Advanced Styling Mascara is applied. Just for reviews I will go to such extend to show my readers how wonders does the mascara do to my lashes. Hehe.. I naturally have short and non-curvy lashes as you can see from the above picture.

The Advanced Styling Mascara gives a more natural look which what I love the most about mascaras. I like getting mascaras with small wands and fanned type of wand application. I call it a fan but yeah.. I may get it all wrong but you can see from the picture as to what I mean. Haha.. The mascara somehow thickens and lengthens my lashes yet still make it look as natural as possible.

Also, the mascara is non-waterproof so it's easy to be removed with any makeup wipes but takes time to dry after being applied.

Lastly, the True Color Lipstick N0.3 is a matte finish lipstick but when applied, it looks sheer and kind of feels a bit soft on the lips when applied. It looks sheer here like as though I have applied gloss but I did not. The lipstick has an amazing texture and although it is a matte finish, it does not feel dry on my lip.

It can last for a few hours which is amazing and the color is very pigmented.

Finally, the end of my review and this is the after picture when everything is applied on my face except for the brows and blush. They're not from FCC. Look at how amazing the CC Cream does to my face. I totally forgot to do a before and after applying the cream but will do so perhaps on my next blog.

So ladies, if you wish to get any of the FCC product(s), do "LIKE" their page and you can order directly from there! Once again, thank you for reading. Toodles~~
